I chose this place for the price - I doubt that I'd do that again.
The toilet did not flush unless you held the handle down to a count of 15. The elevator door would not open to discharge passengers unless you pushed the button. The highway sounds (big trucks throughout the night) were so loud I thought the hotel must be on the highway. The door key didn't hold its' 'charge'. - not an experience I will repeat.
I will not go to this hotel anymore, the bathroom is not clean, the drainage is stuck, the bed cover is stink and it look it has been used by previous guest.
nothing, I refused to stay
Yes, I asked for a smoking room. But this room had a stench so bad I could not breathe. It was absolutely filthy. The bedspread was stained, the blanket was so old and full of large holes, I would not even let my dog sleep there. Stains were present on the walls aswell as the outside of the refrigerator. he air conditioner was covered with dust. The staff didn't have my reservation. I had to go to the car to get my laptop to show her the confirmation.
It was horrible. The room smelled so bad. It was dirty. The fire alarm went off at 7am and continued to go off three more times throughout the morning. I usually like to sleep in on my vacation but no such thing after that ordeal. The pillows were flat as paper, the bed was so uncomfortable and the shower was dirty. I do not recommend staying here to anyone.
The front desk was a mess. Nothing looked professional including the staff. They were having an issue with the room keys and ours did not work after we walked to our room several times. Finally they moved us to another room. The bed linens were extremely wrinkled, and gray tinged. The blanket was worn out with stains and cigarette burns. When we asked for a better one we were told they were all like that and it was all they had. This was after I had seen a room hat was being cleaned with a nice clean and soft velor blanket. I guess those are reserved for the King and/or handicap accessible rooms. I have better linens at home in my rag box. The first set of towels was clean and nice quality, however for the second day they were miscolored, thin and stained. Yuck. We didn't use them as we decided to check out early to go home and sleep in our own bed. As we were leaving I noticed a large handwritten sign on the counter stating "Check in time is after 3:00 P.M." I thought that was in very poor taste. Just more evidence of a poorly run front desk.
Hallway needed to be updated...looked like you were entering a dormitory. Room was too dark. Front Desk Reception could have been friendlier...not impressed with being greeted by a woman with a pierced lip, spiked hair, and tatoos in regular street clothes for a "family hotel". I was surprised there was no dress code.
price location is about all
the condition of the rooms and how unsanitary they are
this was the worst ,dirtiest, hotel i'v ever stayed in
A good value, fine if you're not looking for frills.
The hotel is in a difficult spot on a busy highway; it takes a little patience to pull out in to traffic.
Overall appearance was just nasty - room was old and musty..had awful smell...carpet was gross! We did not even sleep with the blanket and bedspread because it was just reaking of foul odors..covered our pillow (if that's what you call it!) with our bath towels so our head would not touch the pillow! I realize we only paid $50.00 for the room but it was totally disgusting and will never stay there again!
This was the filthiest hotel I have ever stayed in. I have already registered a complaint with the main office of Super 8 hotels. I would have checked out and left if I didnt have my handicapped mother with me who was completely exhausted from the trip. I will never stay in another Super 8 hotel. The condition of the room was so horrible that I have taken several pictures and fully intend to forward those to the management of the hotel.
Hallway smelled funny like it was moldy
I did not like this hotel at all. The room was small, I had trouble turning off the A/C (put the dial to the off setting and A/C would shut off but there was still air blowing out, had to go past that dial to the heat setting and then back again to get off completely and when I did that there was a bad smell that came out of the unit, like something had died in there). In addition, the pillows were thin and uncomfortable, my room was right across from the ice machine which made noise every 20 minutes keeping me awake, plus you could hear every flush of the toilet in the other rooms as well as the showers. And speaking of the showers, the button that worked mine broke and required the maintenance man to come in and pull it out with a pair of pliers. Bottom line, after one night I checked out early and moved down the street to the Lancaster Host Resort (which is a beautiful place).
Close to shopping, staff friendly, wish the rooms were cleaner but I guess what do you expect a room on a budget
Clean comfortable rooms with all necessities
Hallways and stairways had no air conditioning. It was a very hot 95 degrees +), humid weekend and I got very hot and sticky just walking from the lobby to my room. There should at least be some minimal level of AC. 80 degrees would have been sufficient.
